Graduate-Level Credit - E.L. Achieve

University of the Pacific-Benerd College, is pleased to provide training participants the opportunity to earn graduate-level credit upon completion of credit-approved professional development experiences. Dedicated in assisting educators and teachers across the nation, our professional development course options are designed to be practical, meaningful, and affordable. At only $80 per semester credit, opportunities are available to all current (ongoing) or previous E.L. Achieve program participants.

Graduate-level credit will be awarded upon completion of the following items:

  • Complete a E.L. Achieve workshop, conference, seminar, webinar or training that is relevant to your professional development (E.L. Achieve fees are paid separately from the tuition university credit fee).
  • Register and pay for the corresponding E.L. Achieve course (see below).

E.L. Achieve offers a variety of professional development courses that each uniquely consist of different experiences for the awarding of graduate-level credit. Each graduate-level credit requires a total of 15 hours of professional development involvement/participation with E.L. Achieve (courses, trainings, workshops, or conferences).

 

Please note: Regardless of how many credits you select to enroll, no additional coursework is required after you register for university credit. E.L. Achieve staff will verify your program participation, upon your registration. If for any reason there is an issue with your course registration(s), our team will reach out to provide you with an update and assistance.

 

Upon registering for your selected course(s), you will receive a confirmation email including course information and follow-up instructions.

 

How many credits can you earn?

  • PEDUC 9281: Symposium (two-day event) - (1-4 credits)
  • PEDUC 9100: Systematic ELD Leadership Seminar - (1-4 credits)
  • PEDUC 9798: Systematic ELD Participant Institute(1-4 credits)
  • PEDUC 9799: Secondary Constructing Meaning Leadership Seminar - (1-4 credits)
  • PEDUC 9797: Secondary Constructing Meaning Participant Institute - (1-4 credits)
  • PEDUC 9185: Elementary Constructing Meaning Leadership Seminar - (1-4 credits)
  • PEDUC 9184: Elementary Constructing Meaning Participant Institute - (1-4 credits)

The credits offered are post-baccalaureate, graded, graduate-level semester units of credit, provided directly through University of the Pacific, Benerd College. They are specifically designed to meet the needs of educators for Salary Advancement and Recertification.  The credits are acceptable where local districts approve and applicable to state licensing where authorized. We always encourage that you check with your employer for acceptability of these credits. Course participants are responsible to determine acceptability of these credits for their intended use. Each graduate-level semester credit is equivalent to 15 hours of academic involvement. 

 

University of the Pacific, established in 1851, is California’s oldest private chartered university and is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

Completed courses are graded Pass/No Pass and will appear on an Official Transcript from University of the Pacific, Benerd College. An Official Transcript with your final course grade(s) is available from Pacific upon successful completion of coursework. The course ending date that will appear on your transcript will reflect the date on which your completed coursework was reviewed and graded.

Upon registering for your selected course(s), you will receive a course enrollment confirmation email with additional information.

Please allow 1-2 weeks, from the date you register for credit, for E.L. Achieve staff to verify your program participation and to be graded for your courses. After your participation is successfully validated, you will be notified (via email) of your course grades(s) being submitted for posting at Pacific. The true course ending date that will appear on your official transcript will reflect the date on which E.L. Achieve verifies your participation.
