Orange Unified Induction Program is dedicated in providing a rigorous and robust induction experience that deserves recognition at a graduate level. That’s exactly why we are prepared to help you earn credit quickly and easily, all at an affordable cost of only $50 per semester credit.
In order to award graduate-level credit, University of the Pacific – Benerd College requires that you submit proof of your induction program completion. Please be prepared to upload proof of completion when registering.
As per Orange Unified SD policy, participants are not eligible to apply for units retroactively and are highly encouraged to apply for units immediately following work completion. The deadline to apply for units is by the end of June for the participating school year that you just completed (Year 1, Year 2, or ECO). Candidates are not eligible to receive induction units after July 1 of the school year during which they completed the induction program.*

Induction Candidates: Year 1 (3 credits)
Induction Candidates: Year 2 (3 credits)
Early Completion Option: Year 1 (3 credits)
*Please note this exception: Year 2 candidates may register to earn graduate-level credit for Year 1 if they are applying to earn units for Year 2 and did not previously earn credit for Year 1.
Earn 1-3 graduate-level semester credits upon completion of the Orange EDGE Curriculum & Instruction Independent Study. The deadline to apply for units is one year from when you complete the independent professional development.
In order to award graduate-level credit, University of the Pacific – Benerd College requires that you submit proof of your course completion at checkout when registering for the number of credits that you would like to earn.
In this course, teachers will work with their administrator to identify a curricular area of study to meet student needs, identify a professional learning experience that will build knowledge in this area, and plan and share reflections and evidence that demonstrate implementation.
All learning activities may be independently paced by the candidate and must be completed by the submission dates below:
Fall Semester Submission – must be completed by the first Friday in December.
Spring Semester Submission – must be completed by the last Friday in June.
The credits offered are post-baccalaureate, graded, graduate-level (non-degree) semester units of credit, provided directly through University of the Pacific – Benerd College. They are specifically designed to meet the needs of educators for Salary Advancement and Recertification. The credits are acceptable where local districts approve and applicable to state licensing where authorized. We always encourage that you check with your employer for acceptability of these credits. Course participants are responsible to determine acceptability of these credits for their intended use.
Completed courses are graded under the Pass/No Credit grading system. All course grades will appear on an official transcript from University of the Pacific – Benerd College.
