Earn graduate-level semester credit with the San Francisco Unified School District Induction New Teacher Support Program (SIP) and University of the Pacific – Benerd College.
SIP is dedicated in providing a rigorous and robust induction experience that deserves recognition at a graduate level. That’s exactly why we are prepared to help you earn credit quickly and easily, all at an affordable cost of only $50 per semester credit. Registration to earn university credit is only available for the academic year during which you participate. As per SFUSD policy, participants are not eligible to apply for units retroactively.
In order to award graduate-level credits University of the Pacific – Benerd College requires that you submit proof of your induction program completion.

How many credits can you earn?
Participating Teachers: Year 1 (8 credits)

Early Completion Option: Year 1 (8 credits)
The credits offered are post-baccalaureate, graded, graduate-level semester units of credit, provided directly through University of the Pacific – Benerd College. They are specifically designed to meet the needs of educators for Salary Advancement and Recertification. The credits are acceptable where local districts approve and applicable to state licensing where authorized. We always encourage that you check with your employer for acceptability of these credits. Course participants are responsible to determine acceptability of these credits for their intended use.

Important: Please submit an SFUSD Pre-Approval of Credits For Salary Classification Change form to determine acceptability of UOP units prior to enrolling for UOP units.
Completed courses are graded under the Pass/No Credit grading system. All course grades will appear on an official transcript from University of the Pacific – Benerd College.

Successful completion of your San Francisco Unified School District Induction New Teacher Support Program (SIP) is a prerequisite to registering for graduate-level credit with University of the Pacific - Benerd College.
Register for graduate-level credit with University of the Pacific - Benerd College.
Be prepared to upload your SIP Induction 2023-2024 Completion Letter at checkout when registering for university credit. Allow 1-2 weeks for your program completion to be verified and processed at University of the Pacific.
Earn Graduate-Level Credit on an Official Transcript from University of the Pacific - Benerd College.
After your documentation has been reviewed and approved, your course grade(s) will be submitted for posting at University of the Pacific-Benerd College. You may proceed to order an e-transcript after your course grades are posted at UOP.
