PEDU 9084: Creating New Projects for the Classroom

$79$237

Designed for the educator who needs both professional development credit and some new projects to enliven their curriculum, this course provides the opportunity to earn graduate-level professional development while creating new projects for their classroom! Building on ideas garnered or conceived from professional development workshops, conferences, webinars, or training, you can work at your own pace to develop new projects for your classroom. You will select projects to develop into an activity or lesson you can present or assign to your students to enhance their learning and help them fulfill the learning objectives and goals for your curriculum. Build a teaching PowerPoint aimed at meeting objectives for a specific lesson…develop the guidelines, rubric, project options, and research recommendations for a project-based learning activity that allows students to be creative yet retain control of their project while meeting required learning objectives…build a new student activity center that teaches to a difficult concept—develop projects and activities that will actively engage your students in the learning process. Once you have implemented your newly developed project in your classroom, reflect over what you and your students have learned through the activity in a written reflection to submit, along with proof of project completion and your time log, for evaluation.
