Course Description
This course is designed to provide educators like you the opportunity to earn professional development credit for the extra time and effort you devote to making your classroom a more welcoming and effective teaching environment for young children. Application of the underlying principles and practices needed to manage young children are not always second nature, and many educators spend countless hours researching and honing their skills to deal with this special subset of the educational community.
As an educator, we know that you have put a lot of time and effort into learning how best to manage behavior, situations, and the many diverse needs of your young classroom audience. That’s why Teacher Friendly is proud to provide the opportunity to earn one (1) hour of graduate-level semester credit for every 15 hours of relevant work, completed on your own time, that you dedicated to making your classroom a wholesome and effective environment conducive to early childhood education. If you want to learn more about the principles and practices of early childhood education or have projects or activities you’ve already completed to support the principles and practices of early childhood education in your classroom or curriculum, you can easily earn PD credit for your invested time. Simply submit (1) a short description of the principles and practices you plan to or have already implemented in your classroom, (2 ) a self-created time log verifying the hours of work you have invested, and (3) selected proof of completed objectives.

The credits offered are post-baccalaureate, graded, graduate-level semester units of credit, provided directly through University of the Pacific, Benerd College. They are specifically designed to meet the needs of educators for Salary Advancement and Recertification. The credits/units are acceptable where local districts approve and applicable to state licensing where authorized. We always encourage you to check with your employer for acceptability of these credits/units. Course participants are responsible to determine acceptability of these credits for their intended use. Each graduate-level semester credit is equivalent to 15 hours of academic involvement.
