Course Description
This course is designed to provide educators the opportunity to earn professional development credit for the extra hours of your own time you devote to creating mindfulness activities appropriate for today’s classroom. As educators, we spend countless hours of our own time working to create a safe, friendly, and supportive environment for our students. If you have or plan to integrate mindfulness techniques and activities into your classroom routine, you can earn 1 hour of graduate-level semester credit for every 15 hours of relevant work, completed on your own time, that you dedicate to this goal. You’ve probably already done most of the work. Why not get professional development credit for something you’ve already done to improve your teaching skills and abilities? Or, if you haven’t already added mindfulness activities to your teaching toolkit but would like to, this is an excellent opportunity to do so and earn PD credit at the same time. Earning credit is easy: you simply submit (1) a short description of the mindfulness activities you create (or plan to create) for your classroom, (2) a self-created time log verifying the hours of work you have invested, and (3) selected proof of your completed objectives.
